A ceremony marking the
entry of County Review into Meru recently took place at the Alba Hotel Meru
attracting the region’s top dogs and readers.
The
invite - only party saw about 200 guests treated to a cocktail dinner with a
soft music background. Politicians, businessmen, managers, journalists and students from across the four counties – Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Isiolo –
interacted freely while key guests made their presentations.
The Chief Guest was Dennis Itumbi, Director of
Digital Communication Office of the President. Other notable guests included
Meru county Deputy Governor H.E Raphael Muriungi, Meru County Assembly Speaker Mr.
Joseph Kaberia and Tharaka Nithi County Assembly Speaker, John Mbaabu, and political
analyst and USIU lecturer Prof. Macharia Munene. Also present was Media
Mechanics Limited -publishers of County Review Newspaper - Managing Director
Mr. Loyd Kibaara.
