First degree is enough to the extent that you feel comfortable with it but, if you want to join the big ranks, you should be ready to sacrifice more. It is not easy but it’s worthy. Even when you are lucky to get a job, enroll for evening classes. The world is becoming so competitive.
Student leadership in Egerton is different from that of Chuka University
I am only conversant with the post-graduate student leadership here which is very lame and inactive. For undergraduate am not, but here leadership is not participative. After elections you only know you have a leader during exam time when he/she calls for a strike. Other social gatherings, Social interactions or even response to ordinary minor cases is not there. It is an exact picture of Kenya politics; you elect an M.P and you will only see him/her during burials and then the M.P disappears.
EGERTONS 2014 STRIKE WAS LEGITIMATE
Last year Egerton University strike was legitimate but matters could not have reached that extent. Students went on rampage because the University directed that only those who have cleared School fees for the whole year should do the exam. Surely that is an insensitive policy. It should be fee for the semester but in closed doors and all art of negotiation at play they could and am sure showed sense to the administrators who are most of the time insensitive.
STRIKES ARE THE MOST POWERFUL TOOL FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Strikes are most powerful weapon comrades have just like nuclear weapons of any country. The question remains should you use nuclear weapons at every instance or as the last resort when you at war? Use the threat of strike calculatively in your negotiations because the fear of it is just enough but, deploying it without weighing is unwise.

Elect Wise leaders. Respect your ladies, love your men, and strive towards your talents passionately. Meet everything in your life with a smile, it eases your life.
